Blossburg Banter Ann Lupkowski 638-2308 Ambulance Report At the December meeting of the Blossburg Ambulance Association, the ambulance chief made the fol lowing report for the month of No vember: 41 responses, 25 emergency and 16 routine. for a total of 2429 miles traveled. The Jaws of Life pur chased Nov. 13 were used for the first time on Nov. 29 at an accident in Lib erty. Election of officers for 1981 was held and the following were elected: president, Dean Hall; vice president, Kenneth Johnson; secretary, Ruth Haddow; billing secretary, Bob Scherrer; treasurer, Tony Lupkow ski; ambulance chief, Bob Scherrer; assistant, Kevin Lindquist; trustee, Harold Franke; watermas Party The annual Christmas party of the Christian Mothers of St Mary's Church was held at the church hall on Sunday evening. A delicious tur key dinner was served, followed by an exchange of gifts. Members sang Christmas carols in three languages: English, Polish and Latin. Father Walt Plominski, pastor of St. Mary's, was the honored guest. Connie Leone and Mary Kay Ward of Towanda attended the Dec. Sth funeral of their cousin, Patricia Mahoney in Bayonne, NJ. Miss Mahoney died at the age of 36 in the New York City Hospital after a long illness. She is survived by her mother, Catherine Mahoney, and two brothers, Michael, Jr. and Robert. Also attending the Mineral were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Koleharno of Oly phant, and Mr. and Mrs. John Sel chick of Philadelphia. Winners of the “Writer of the Week contest at the elementary school for the week of Dec. 8 were 4th grade, Debbie Stoltzfus; 5th grade, Kits McGhee. 6th grade, John Pequignot. Congratulations! The North Penn Panthers basket ball team won over Canton Friday night. The final score was North Penn 55, Canton 46
