.The Manitoba government has announced that design competi tions for a provincial flag will start in January. Provincial Secretary Maitland Steinkopf, in an interview, said two competitions will be held, one for school children and the other for adults and professional designers. He said a provincial flag is ‘needed “in the worst way” and will have secondary promotional benefits valuable to Manitoba.” A sub-committee of the Mani toba Centennial Corporation, headed by Judge C.
