Fifty Fifty Sunday School class of M. E. Church, South meets all church at 7:30 p. m. for Christmas party. Apollo Club meets at home of Mrs. J. W. Bass in one o'clock covered dish luncheon and Christ mas party. Lyric Theatre—Warner Baxter in “Hell in the Heavens” with Con chita Montenegro and Russell Hardie. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones of Miami, Oklahoma arrived here Sun day to visit until Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Majors. Mrs. J. W. Bass will be hostess to members of the Apollo Club Tuesday at a one o'clock coveress dish luncheon followed by the an nual Christmas party. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Whinery and son, Leo Howard, of Kansas City, MO, are here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kite. They accompanied Mrs. H. A. Webster here to spend the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Kite and Mr. Kite. Six students of the Junior High school will be awarded a fourth way holiday this week for selling the most tats and tuberculosis seals on the annual tag day held Saturday. The campaign was under the direction of Mrs. Ed Johnson and daughter,Miss Edith. The students include the following: Dorothy E. Parker, Betty Ann Nicholson, Ruth Martin, Louis Worthington, Dorothy Joanne Clark and John Paul Hammerschmidt. J. Seamon and Mrs. Pearl Diam, both of Harrison, obtained a mar riage license today from County Clerk Ernest Olvey and were married at the court house by Justice W. W. Coffman. Miss Wildred Phillips returned Saturday to Yellville after spending the past week here with Miss Lessie Williams and other friends. Marriage licenses were issued today by County Clerk Ernest Alvey to Ray Bindley and Miss Geneva Gilley, both of Everton; Leon Stephenson and Miss Lena Scott, both of Harrison. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Beene of Elmwood will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Friday, De cember 21. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Beene will keep open house at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.. Powers in honor of the oc casion, Friday afternoon from w5 o'clock to five o’clock.
