Jon tBrookings. S. P., Dee. IT—W. V.Omaha traveling1 salesman, today was free of all responsibility for* the death, late Monday night, of Miss Elsie Loner, near Bruce, but he faced a hearing this morning on a chargeof possessing liquor in a, public plare. The jury, called by Coroner K. It.Bartling, returned about 7:30 o’clock last niglit with a verdict which held that M ss Ixner met her death threomiles north of Bruce by accidentally falling from a car which was in motion. It found no evidence to show that Jones was in any way responsible for the young woman’s death.VMth the filing of the liquor charge against Jones, however, credence wasgiven to reports, current here yesterday, that there had been drinking in the party before the fatal rido took place. These rumors persisted vesterdav but the inquest was secret and Coroner Bartling would reveal■while it was in progress. -onothing
