December 1§.—The most important credt week in our staid little neck of timber was the right-of way suit between Mrs . Deiter and the KB. Os BR. R. contractors. The latter had offered the widow $400 to cross her small farm at this place. On Tuesday the Wayne county petit jury drove over from Wooster to view the land; and on Wednesday M. . Lance, P. Hartel, A. and M. Kindig, D. W. McConnell, J. C. Elliott, et al., were summoned to Wooster as witnesses. Your scribe has trustworthy nforma tion that the jury has awarded Mrs. D. $600 damages. The last link on the B. O.dump through this section is being rapidly completed. New men and teams are arriving daily and the fence gang are expected to put in an appearance any day. All things indicate an early com pletion of the road. Miss Lilian Elliott, of Dunkirk, O. is visiting with the family of H.S. Elliott, Mrs. Bremmer and son, of St. Louis, Mich., spent several days with D. E. Spade and lady the past week. The Thursday evening literary ex ercises at the school hall are rapidly rowing in interest. May they con tinue to do so. The Knupp 8.8 expect to give a Christmas entertainment on Christmas night. Full particulars not obtainable at present writing. Tom TIDDLER.
