Two of the five youths who had previously pleaded guilty to the rape off May street in Leominster one June 24 turned state's evidence t his morning and implicated seven persons in the actual assailante of the girl, Frei Brooks, 23, accused Buddy L. Lawrence, 2%, os an assailant. It was the first time that Lawrence had deer pamed as an actual as sailant Roger D. Despres named six as sailants not including Lawrence as the corroborated evidence given yes ter by Walter 5. Albert who also has pleaded guilty to the rapes ,along with Paul J. Guilmetta. Guilmette pleaded guilty to 10 counts yesterday, the ninth day of the trial. He pleaded guilty to rape, conspiracies, rape, rob the air and rob her companion, assault and battery of the boy friend, kidnaping, robbery ‘of the boy, larceny from the girl (changed from 2 previous robbery indictment), operating a motor vehicle without authority and, operating after, suspension ‘of his right to, operate. ‘The pleas were entered after Wal ter 5, Albert, 18, who also has pleaded guilty to the rape-robbery ‘kidnaping charges on Monday, had implicated Guilmette as one of the five young men and a juvenile who had physically assaulted the girl. Trial of these youths was resumed: immediately ,after Guilmette en tered his guilty plea and was led, away from the courtroom, Albert resumed the stand to an swer examination by First Asst. Dist. Atty. John F. Driscoll resum ing testimony from the point of de parture at which he had already placed all defendants at the scene on May street on June 25 and di rectly identified himself; Guilmerie, Després, L'italien, Brooks and a juvenile ag the actual assailants. ‘Prosecution was questioning Al bert to ascertain the ‘exact time— before’or after the first rape~be fore the five remaining defendants left the scene. Albert, Bertrand A. L'Italien, J., 17, Roger R. Despres, 18, and Fred Brooks, 23, had gone through the same ordeal Monday morning. Al bert pleaded guilty to thre counte of rape, Littalien ‘and Despres two each, and Brooks, one. Albert, Littaien and Despres had alan pleaded guilty to ‘assault and’ bat tery, two counts of robbery,three counts conspiracy and kidnaping.
