The Lord of Hosts is His name.The inheritance—the whole earth —shall be cleared of offenders by Israel the heir—the Battle Axe— wielded, and turned, and trained by the Almighty Arm of God Himself.God’s Kingdom must prevail— Zion must be built up.The “whiug whang” of God’s Battle Axe—Zion—has for years been echoing through forest and dale, over mountain and plane, slaying offenders and casting up the highway of righteousness, and God says of her—the portion of Jacob—“with thee will I break in pieces THE NATIONS; and with thee will I destroy kingdoms-— with thee also will I break in pieces men and women; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maiden—I will also break in pieces with thee, the shepherd and his flock.” Yes the selfish blood sucker and wool-pul-ler to fatten his own lazy bones and soften his own couch.Babylon is a type of the present day world in its political, educa tional, commercial, and religious confusion, and God says, “and I will render unto Babylon, and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea, all their evil that they have done in Zion in your (Jacob, Israel, God’s chosen) sight. Behold I am against thee, O destroying mountain which destroyest all the earth; and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll Ihee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain, and they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate forever.”Set ye (Zion—Israel—the King dom) up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her (Babylon—the world, sin, sin ners, the Devil, death and hell.)And God says, “I will plead thy cause and take vengeance for thee. ’ ’“Whing, whang, chip, chop,” the Battle Axe, with a helve as a weaver’s beam, grasped firmly, shall slay the wicked.The Zion Battle Axe fights for the Kingdom.It will not go in league or consort with the world.It will fight early, late and al ways for Zion City and the Zion Movement.It stands for one people.It abominates the apostasy.It will fight every man, woman and thing not clean, true, pure, and righteous.It will bury its keen edge into either the putty, jelly-fish, blub-berer, or in the incrusted skin and vitals of the grasping and money hardened filclier.The Battle Axe will declare that Zion City is invaded by a foreign foe—enemies deadly to her every interest—and that they must be driven out.Every person not in line with Zion and the Theocracy is an enemy. Every person who holds a meeting opposed to Zion is plotting and perpetrating treason and every participator is a traitor.They are pretenders, and the Battle Axe will hew them The Battle Axe is in Zion City to defend. It is sharp, strong and will be wielded in righteous ness, to establish judgment and truth.Birds of a Feather Flock Together.Now comes one Bryant, in that dirty, low-down, lying rag, the Zion City News, in an attempt to defend the degenerate Parham.Mr. Bryant, it is currently reported that you were on the verge of insanity before you came into Zion; and do not your actions prove that you are standing on the verge of insanity at the present time?Mr. Bryant, just read the following and then will you and Parham have the audacity to stand up and say that Parham • never made this confession, and that Charles F. Stevens, the witness, and the district attorney, deliberately forged them?PARHAM’S CONFESSION.I hereby confess my guilt in the commission of the crime of Sodomy with one J. J. I challenge you, in the Name of the Most High God, to do your dirtiest; and with you I include thimble-headed Davis, whose brains if they were taken out and put into a peanut shell would rattle.Men and women who would go to hear Parham preach have certainly lost their sense of decency and are deserving of the severest condemnation of every decent, respectable citizen not only of Zion City but throughout Lake County.In the Name of the Most High God, I brand you, Bryant, as a liar and a hypocrite and the poorest apology for a man that it has ever been my privilege of meeting in all my travels. You little, envious, jealous, narrow, contracted “nothing,” go on and fill up your cup of iniquity, and then the Devil, when through with you, will discard you for some other easy dupe.Before a company of men only, I will tell just the kind of men who get this so-called gift of tongues— and then you will understand why there are among their number several men who have been guilty of the most shameful conduct, notwithstanding their wives and children.Some Significant Questions.[By O. L. Tindall. 11. Can a man be wholly sanctified and be guilty of Sodomy at the same time ?2. Is not a man a hypocrite of the rankest kind when he says he can?3. Was not Parham that kind of a man?4. Does Zion want that sort of teachers?5. Does not an “open” town encourage such?6. Would pure women go, and hear such a hypocrite?7. Would not a true and brave pastor over a flock denounce such a man?8. Can one of God’s watchmen be guiltless if he does not warn his people against such hypocrites?9. Is sodomy a sure sign of the so-called baptism of the Holy Ghost?10. Will any one tell us over whom Bryant is pastor? Is he pastor, or is Parham?11. Which of the two do the sheep follow?12. Jf a man is fit to be a shepherd over God’s flock, should not the sheep follow him? Will they follow a stranger?13. Is Bryant a false teacher, or is Parham? Would not all Zion like to see an itemized report from Bryant showing how he is getting on ‘ ‘uniting’ ’ all Zion by his sweet loving messages—the beloved apostle (?) of “reconciliation?”18. How many of his crowd agree? How sweet for brethren to dwell together in unity!19. How can Bryant favor throwing this city open to the world, after it was solemly dedicated to God forever, and he was a party.SOME QUESTIONS TO BEEBE, ELY, LICHTY, ETC.1. If the Zion business proposition was a good one when you came in, why is it not now?2. Did you believe then that it was a practical scheme, and would work successfully? If so, why not now? Have the principles changed?3. If the principles are sound, why abandon them?4. If 50 banks and insurance companies break, do you denounce and abandon the whole business?5. Is there any special inducement for a business man, or a business enterprise to come here, more than to any broken-down town, unless they come to steal, and plunder the poor people!6. Honestly now, my old Zion friends, would it uotbeagreatthing if we would buy this whole estate and run it in God’s way, and try to help mankind in all our business affairs, and be real Christians?
