Norman Roy Dubois on Saturday, December 11, 1976 at the Health Sciences General Center, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mr. Norman Dubois, aged 48 years, of the Elm Creek district. ‘Mr. Dubois was born in Por tage la Prairie and lived here until six years ago when he ‘moved with his family to the Elm Creek district He was a sports enthusiast ,and during his service with the Canadian Army, he was a contender for the light-heavy weight title for the Armed Forces of Canada. Following his discharge from the army, his interests were in baseball and automotive repair. In 149 he married the for mer Mary Nikels. Mr. Dubois was a former member of the Army, Navy and Air Force veteran’s Assoc. Unit 13 in Portage la Prairie. For the past five years ill health has forced him to withdraw from social ac tivities Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by six daughters :Mrs. Murray Pratt (Dawn) of Edmonton, Alta., Mrs. Lawrence’ Bellehamer (Verona), Rhona Dubois, Deborah Dubois and Laurie Dubois, all of Winnipeg, and Rachael at home; six sons Roy, Norman, Birnie and William all of ‘Winnipeg and Richard and Roger at home; ‘and 13 grandchildren. Also his father, Mr. Norman Dubois of Winnipeg; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth McGowan of Winnipeg and Mrs. Dorothy Lamb of Burnaby, B.C. and two brothers, James and Gerald ‘of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Elaine in 1980 and also his mother, Mrs. Mary Dubois, Funeral was held on Tues day, December 1¢ at 2 p.m. in the ‘Trimble Funeral Chapel The service was conducted by Reverend Irvin Penner. ‘The ladies trio from the New ton Mennonite Brothern Church sang ‘God Will Take Care of You , ' The Lord's My Shepherd” and “Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us,” accom panied by Mrs. Vi Siemens at the organ. Honorary bearers were: Messrs. Obie Lees, Abe Dyck, Les Carruthers, Howard Nickels, James Lewis and Leonard Klyne. Pallbearers were: Messrs. Ken Ward, Allan Bousquet, Victor Ewart, Maurice Bous quett, Frank Paul Jr. and Bruce Perry. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery.
