Sc hoi district, which has made the construction' of the fine building possible. : The grammar districts uniting are Legget Valley, Cummings, and part of Pepperwood districts. The latter district has not been made a part of the Union school district by the board of su- j pcrvioora, but has voted to come in,! in mass meeting. The above dis-i tricls, with Piercy district, are also) members of the Fort Bragg Union High Sphool district. There are already 70 students attending school here. The lower grammar grades are being taught in the Leggett Valley school and the 7th and 8th grades and high school arc taught here in the Collidge Redwood Parle social hall, which was donated for the purpose by Dr. and Mrs. S. O. Coolidge. A great deal of credit is due Supt. Roy Good and the Fort Bragg Union sohool directors for the construction of this splendid building without any special assessment or bond issue, but out of the funds^and revenues of the districts concerned. The town of Coolidge Park is taking form rapidly, many improvements being scheduled for the coming season. Thjs is the logical loca-lt; tlon for e town, being at the junction of the Shoreline and Redwood highways and twenty-five miles in •each direction from any other town.. ** » » * i | • • r m 4 wFred Lavender has purchased a big business lot near thp new high school, on the highway, and will build a big general merchandise store building this winter, together with several modern cottages for the accommodation of tourists. Mr. Lavender Is well and favorably known, *n;this district, having resided here.for several .years, and Isat present conducting his grocery business at Panther Springs, thfeemiles south of here.Emory A. Davis la starting construction of several cottages at this place and expects to have quite a touris cour ready for the season inthe spring.Miss Clara Preston, the popular school ma’ain who has been teaching the Leggett Valley School at this place for the past few years, was the successful bidder for the old school building on the highway, opposite the new high school building. She plans remodeling if for a residence and v/ill move into it as soon as the school moves , into the new building- Miss Preston plansthe construction of several cottageson her property for rental purposes.Neal Carver has built a temporary home on a lot adjoining the Coolidge property on the north. He expects to begin construction of hia permanent home in the spring.The Coates contract,. 14 miles south of here, is nearing completion and is speeding up traffic already to1 a, very noticeable extent. The contrast has been pushed with energy and speed and is considerablyahead of the contract time.I
