Garfey Get* a Life Sentence.At Fort Dodge Saturday, utter less than two hours deliberation, the jury in the Galley trial returned a verdict of guilty of murder in the first degree andiixed Guffey’s punishment at imprisonment for life. Gnffey was accused of fatally shooting Ed. Buggy, formerly of Waukon, on the streets of Buncombe last March while the latter was walking with Lizzie Murphy. Galley was in love with the girl and at the time was claimed to he engaged to her. The prosecution nileged that it was jealous rage that Inspired the crime, while Gaffey’s friends claimed that he was insane.
