Farewell Itf tli« Ofii Chart*.The final service of the Tabernacle (Third) Presbyterian church in the old Third church building, corner Ohio und Illinois streets, was held yesterday morning. It was made n memorial service, as to the, work ot the Thirdchurch. The choir, under the leadership of Dr. Maxwell, began the exercise with an mnthem, alter which appropriate selections of scripture were read by the pastor, Rev. J. A. Rondthaler. Chas. N. Todd, by request of the session, read nti historical sketch of the church and its work. The pastor then made some brief and fitting remarks, and after the singing by the whole congregation of the hymn, “Blest be the tie that binds,” the benedictionwas pronounced, and the uu-. dience slowly dispersed while the organist played “AnId Lany Syne.” On next Sunday the first services will be held in the chapel at the oorner of Meridian and Second streets. The Christmas exercises will he held 5u the lecture room of the old church, and a farewell social will be held in the satnepluce on Monday or Tuesday evening of next week.
