The Hazelwood Parent-Teacher association will meet Thursday evening, Dec. 16, at 8 o'clock at the school for the following Christmas program which will be presented by the pupils: I, Recitation, “A Star in the Sky,” Leonard Feterson, Recitation, “A Letter to Santa,’ Judy Drew, II. Songs, by the school; “Christmas Voices” “So Did I” “Bright Star of Christmas” “Upon the Housetop” “Christmas Songs,’ by Robert Wallace, “White Christmas,” by Joan and Greta Hecker, Ill. Play, “You Can Never Tell About Santa.” Characters: Mary Alice( little girl who has been ill)—Grea Hecker, Mrs. Hamilton (mother of Mary Alice)—Joan Hecker, Mark Bentley (bus driver) Robert Wallace. Children in the bus—Patty Mc Clanahan, Betty Peterson, Teddy Peterson, Junior Drew, Rodney Wallace, Mary Anne Meents. The following songs are includ ed in this play: “Christmas Eve,” lower grades. “To Santa Claus,” Mary Anne Meents. “Christmas Holly,’ Patty Ann McClanahan. “Christmas Carols,’ lower grades, IV. An original play entitled, “A Message from Our Armed Forces,” written by Robert Wal lace, Joan Hecker and Greta Hecker. The characters are as follows: Soldier Boy--Rodney Wallace. Marine—Terry Peterson, U. S. O. Girl— Mary Anne Meents, Army Nurse—Patty Ann Mee Clanahan, Red Cross Worker—Betty Pet erson. Songs in the play include: “The Caissons Go Rolling Along” “The Marine Hymn” “Stage Door Canteen” “Anchors Aweigh” “The Rose of No Man's Land” “God Bless America” “Silent Night” V. Recitation, “Good Night,” Corrine Wallace. Mrs. Sawyer is the music super visor. Following the program the P. T. A. is sponsoring a grab bag. All those attending are asked to bring a gift. Mrs. Ivan Wallace, chairman of the refreshment committee, is asking all members to bring sandwiches for refreshments at this meeting.
