MR. JAS. A. HARDWICK IS CLAIMED BY DEATH LAST THURSDAY MORN.Pioneer Citizen of This Section Succumbs Suddenly At Home Near Barwiek.Friends throughout this section were shocked to learn of the sudden death of Mr. Jas. A. Hardwick, which oc.cured at his home near Barwiek last Thursday morning, as th^ result of an attack of heart failure. Mr. Hardwick had seemed to be in his usual good health until a few minutes before his death, when members of the family noticed that his condition was not normal, and death came suddenly as he was being assisted to bed.Mr. tfardwick had reached an advanced age in life, but despitethat facjt was Unusually hardy and active., Ho had been a resident of this feection of South !Georgia practically all of his life,and had piany friends who will*be shocked tb learn of his sud-pden demise.• He is syrfvived by three sons and three daughters, all grown, besides numerous other relativ-! es. His w|fe preceded him to the grave jeveral years ago.! Funeral gnd burial services | were conducted Friday afternoon at four o’clock, at Leba-! non cemetery, here. The funeral services were conducted by iRev. D. A. Lastinger, pastor of the local Methodist church, of which he was a loyal member, j The burial services were in charge of members of the Masonic order, of which he had been a loyal and devoted member for many years.
