The W.C. T. U., of this place, are doing much good work sed manifest much Interest. Prof. A. Wesley le in the country this week to the interest of his school. From all indications we will have a splendid school this winter. Work on the Baptist church will be resumed in a short time, and also on the Methodist church, each of which when finished will add much the im provement of our town. As the INTERIOR JOURNAL is a wel come visitor to many households in Liberty and as the doings of our peo ple are seldom noted In any newspapers I will jot down a few uninteresting points about our people, c. Our circuit court adjourned on the Sth, but few cases of any importance were tried. In the case of the Com monwealth against Mont. Burton, charged with killing Miss Holt to shooting at her brother, Bryan Holt, the jury gave Burton a term of seven years and nine months in the peniten tiary and in the case of the Common wealth va. John Bell, a preacher, was sentenced to 13 years in the pen. Miss Pearl Montgomery spent a few days in Bradfordsville last week. Miss Fannie Lewis, who has been visiting the Misses Sharp, returned her home in Cave City Saturday, accompa nied by Miss Dollie Sharp, James Cow den and John Sharp, Prof. F. M. Montgomery and wife, who have been visiting relatives in Columbia, return ed home last Friday. Miss Martha Tilford spent a few days in Stanford last week.
