McClures, as fol lows: To straighten the same and build new abuttments at each pod, to make a fill of earth at each approach, and to lower mid bridge from 3 to 4 feet, and to furnish all material necessary, and to replace all unsound timbers with good, sound timber, such as unsuitable for bridge purposes for the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars, was on motion accepted. The proposition of Robert E. Cavenier to straighten the Banker bridge and put the same in good order for the sum of forty nine dollars. Also to build two new abutt ments for bridge above the residence of 8. M. P. McClures and repair same in good order, and to make 4 fill instead of putting up a bridge near the same place, the coun ty to furnishing the tiling for the same, for the sum of one hundred and thirty-two dollars was alo on motion accepted. Mann to fur nish all medical attendance and medicine for paupers at the poor farm, and also to act as overseer of the poor for the ensuing year, commencing December the lat next, for the sum of one hundred dollars, payable quar terly, was on motion accepted. Mulentey was appoint ed chairman pro tem. A petition having now been presented to the county board, asking that, at the gener al election to be held in November next, the proposition of allowing cows and hogs to run at large in sid county be submitted to the voters of the several precincts in aaid county, the board proceeded to examine the same and after the examination there of the board finds that the law in relation thereto as provided for in Section 2 of Chapter 8 of Cochran's Revision Statutes of Illinois, 1981, has been fully complied with, it was op motion ordered that the county clerk cause notice to be given that at the coming general election to be held in November next the proposition of allow ing cows and hogs, “as set forth in said petition,” to run at large in asid county be submitted to the voters of and precincta the form of said ballots to be “For cows “and hogs running at large,” of “Against cows and hogs running at large,” as pro vided for in Section No.8 of said Chapter. The board, up to this date, having no in formation from the state board of equaliza tion, on motion adjourned until Saturday, October the 20th, Saturday, Oct. 20, 1883.
