By NANCI CAMPBELL ‘Daily Herald Bay Bureau Chief Intelligence officers are working today to deter mine the connection, if any, between the deaths of an Atlanta, Ga. couple found shot near Pearling ton Friday and the recent robbery of an Atlanta jew elry store. William Earl Mulvey, 38, and Tracy Johnson, 34, were found in a ditch alongside the Logtown road in Hancock County Friday afternoon, where officers believe they were dumped after being shot several times in the head. Atlanta police have indi cated that Mulvey, paroled October 24 from prison in Georgia, where he was serving an armed robb ery sentence, was em ployed after his parole at the House of Renard’s Jewelers in Atlanta. That jewelry store was robbed during the’ time Mulvey was employed and a man, believed to have been involved in the rob bery was found shot to, death at the bottom of a well on the outskirts of At lanta some time later. District Attorney Albert Necaise, who with investi gators is awaiting receipt of a detailed accounting of Mulvey and the Johngor hi prior criminal reco | Thursday afternoon that the two had histories of criminal activ ities dating back 14-18 years. According to an Atlanta police detective, the John son woman, who went un der several aliases, has been charged variously with soliciting for prostitu tion, burglary, forgery, possession of illegal durga, violation of federal firearms laws and posses sion of stolen goods. Necaise said her record involves activity in Geor gia, New York, Florida and Louisiana. She had been paroled from a Geor gia women's prison where she was serving time on 1965 charges of burglary and forgery.
