A teenage girl was being ques tioned early Tuesday afternoon in connection with an attempted rob bery at Kiefler’s Shoe Store, 421 S. Second St., shortly before noon. Joseph Kiefler, proprietor, told police the girl entered the store, her hand in a coat pocket as if she had a weapon, and demanded money. Mr. Kiefler, the police report stated, placed a sum of money, estimated at $70 in a shoe bar, and the girl started to run from the store. She tripped and fell and was held by Mr. Kiefler until police came and took her to headquar ters. Later it was determined that the girl was carrying a tire tool and that she threatened to strike Mr. Kiefler.
