The Trial of George Beasley for Wife Murder Will Begin Next Monday —New and Old Cases. New suits have been filed in the terrorit court as follows: Edna Edwards vs. Taylor Edwards, divorce; Jennie Bennett et al by J. C. Gilliland, guardian, ex-parte petition for partition; Linton Investment Co. va. Pennsylvania-Indiana Coal Co., labor lien; Linton Bank vs. Geo. R. Beasley, et al., note; Lena Harting vs. Vandalia Coal Co., damages; John T. Bennett and Mack Denham, both same as above; Wm. McClellan vs. United Fourth Vein Coal Co., damages. The trial of George Beasley for the murder of his wife at Linton is set for next Monday, and unless something unavoidable happens the case will be called at that time. Fifty men have been summoned as a special venue from which the jury will be selected. The case will attract many spectators to court as well as an army of witness es that will be summoned from Linton. . ‘The following cases on the civil docket have been disposed of since last week : Pillbury-Washburn Flour Mills Co., vs. Edward L. Taylor and David W. Moffatt, attachment; finding for plain tiff in the sum of $1,850.25, James M. Dyer and Fred J. Dyer vs. Rachel L. Boruff and Harvey Giltner, mechanic's lien; finding for plaintiffs against defendant Giltner on account in the sum of $45.04, and finding that plaintiffs are entitled to take nothing as against said other defendant. Hoosier Coal Company vs. Joseph W. Yakey and Curtis W. Adams, on hate; cause is continued, parties not being ready for trial. Albert A. McIntosh vs. Vandalia Coal Company, damages; yenued to Sullivan county. Nora McClellan vs. Charles Mc Clellen, divorce; parties failing to ap pear this cause is dismissed. Lillie Blaker vs. David C. Roach, Frank A. Van Sandt and John W. Gray, to cancel assignment; funding for defendants. Samuel J. Diets vs. James McFad den and Florence McFadden his wife; ejectment and to quiet title; continued by agreement of parties at cost of de fendants, Fred F. Coleman va. City of Linton; defendant files motion for a new trial; some overruled and defendant excepts and plays an appeal which is granted. Enon W. Carpenter, trustee of the estate of Sherman Hash, bankrupt, vs. Northern Assurance Company of Lon don, complaint on policy; jury re turns a verdict for the plaintiff in the sum of $1,400. Ival O. Price vs. Indianapolis South ern Railroad Company, damages; con tinued at coat of defendant, Homer Dowden vs. John C. Bennett and Frank Musselman, to renew judg ment; dismissed at cost of plaintiff. George M. Baldwin by his next friend, Thomas Baldwin, vs. The Van dalia Coal Company, damages; venued to Sullivan county. Thomas C. Buckner vs. ‘The South ern Indiana Coal Company, damages; venued to Sullivan county. The Madison Brewing Company vs. George Paaute, account and attach ment; continued at plaintiff's costs. Harvey Gotton. The Shirley Hill Coal Company ; dismissed for want of prosecution. the Pennsylvania Drug Company vs. Joseph Lacy and Clem Lacy, ap peal on account; continued at caste of defendant. John Jett and Myrtle Jett vs. Moses Musgrave and Charles A. Campbell, on note; continued. Emma 8. Baldridge et al, ex parte partition; deed and mortgage filed and gale confirmed. Maggie Harrel Cobb vs. John R. Cobb, divorce and restraining order; defendant in temporarily restrained from entering on the real estate and the care of the child, thirteen months old is awarded to plaintiff pending litigation.
