Elmer E. Compson, 85, a well known resident of Remus, for man# years, died Wednesday eve-1 ning after an illness of a few weeks.Mr. Compson was borri on April 18, 1861 in the town of Tyre, New York. At the age of 20 his parents moved to Hillsdale countv, Michigan. In 18h4 he came to Mecosta county.On December 25. 1885 he was united in marriage to Minnie FitzGerald and to thia union was born -throe children, E .S. and Alma of Lansing, and Don of Remus.In the year 1920 he moved to Lansing and departed from life on December 4, 1946. |He is survived by his wife and children and one great grandchild.The funeral services were held from the home of his son, Don, at 12 o’clock noon on December 7, 1946. Interment was made in the mausoleum at Deepdale cemetery in Lansing.
