Penny Day For Library.Plans are now being mado by the Public Library Hoard of the c itj to airange for what will be known as “Penny Day'1 at which time the citizens of the city will all be asked to contribute one cent for the benefit of the Public Library.The plan is being fostered by the Woman'» Clubs of the city and the plan has been borrowed from the club women of Tulsa w ho succeeded in having the mayor Issue a proclamation designating Friday, December 12th as ‘‘penny day” for the benefit of the Public Library, which,‘as here, is under the supervision of the Women’s Clubs.The plans for the day have not yet been entirely formulated but will beannounced later at the same time the date will be announced.
