JUwaiiw K* mlo I pb and Mrs.Lnauder Bwtizur Puna Away.Mrs Harriett* P, Meade Randolph died Friday, Dec 4, at the home of tier son, Aaron F Randolph, one mile north of Shirk's ferrv. The old ladvir «.1 had beeu sick since August and sue ctscubed lo :he infirmities of o/d ugv after a useful life of 81 years and 12 daysMrs. Randolph was bom Noy. 22, 1822, near Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to the vicinity of Waterman, Ind., when quite a small child. She was married Sept. 24, 1843, to Phtneas Randolph. Three sons were born of tins union, all of whom survive—Wesley Randolph of Woodriver, Neb., Aaron F. Randolph of Waterman and John F. I Randolph of Judson. Phineas Randolph died Jau. 31, 1880, and six years later Mrs. Randolph was married to Elisha Givens. This union proyed unhappy and was dissolved, and Mrs. Givens thereafter assumed her former name of Randolph. One sister survives— Mr. C. A. Butts of Fort Worth, • Tex. Thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren also mourn the 1 death of this estimable old lady.Aunt Barnette, as she was faxnil- j iarly called by her friends, belouged to one of the oldest and best respected families in this community. She was known and esteemed bv a large circle 1 of friends and neighbors whom she leaves the rich heritage of a long life tilled with good deeds, gentle words 1 and nub it? impulses, *Mr. aud Mrs. Randolph uni led with the Mill Creek Baptist church March 7, 1H58, but later removed their membership to the Zion Baptist church in 1 Waterman, whose pastor, Rev. J. M. “ Kendall, conducted the funeral ser- * yiee of Mrs. Randolph at tbe home of A- t\ Randolph at 2 o'clock Monday 1 afternoon. The burial was made in ^ the Silver Island cemetery.
