Mrs. Clyde Newell was hostess to the Cherry Belle Club Thurs day afternoon. Roll call was an swered with “a Christmas tradition in our home.” A poem, and an article by the late Negro poet, George Ballard of Fayetteville, were read. Plans were made to boost the club's finances by hav ing the Stamp’s quartet from Sil loam Springs in a program, Friday night, December 21, at 7:30 o'clock. Admission will be 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for children. The money will be used toward redecorating the club rooms of the church, which has been the main project of the club this year and will continue to be their lead ing project during the coming year. A committee for the club Christ mas tree and party was appointed. Committee members are Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Rouse, Mr. and Mrs. Hamblen, Mrs. Max Tate, Mrs. James Dennis, Mrs. Gene McKee, and Mrs. Jack Hamblen.
