Volk was born in Germany, October Gth, 1833. lie came to America when he was 19 years old, where ho has resided in this rounty ever since, Hu leaves to mourn him, two daughters, Mrs. James Barry of Oxford and Airs. James Iiogun of Union Township and one son, George, of Cosgrove, besides tweny-nine grand children and thirty-three great grand children and many friends.Air, Volk was a loyal citizen, a devoted Catholic and a true friend and his loss will be feit^by all who knew him.
