Workers unload palm trees for installation in front of UA 5, United Artists’ newest theater which is being built on Second Street just west of the Scottsdale Center for the Arts. The theater, which is part of the Mercado Verde complex on the Scottsdale Mall, will feature five separate theaters, each Progress photo by Bob Johnstone showing a different film. The smallest theater will seat 165 while the largest will accommodate 530 patrons. The new theater will open Dec. 17. The contractor for the project is J.R. Porter. .
