BY C.M. FAULKNER GRIMSHAW - Mr. Mrs. Bruce Zacke, Edmon ton are rejoicing on the birth of their first born son, Kristopher Bruce , Ibs. 15 oz. at the University Hospi tal on December 15. A grandson for Mr. Mrs. John Konowaluke, Grim shaw, and Mr. Mrs. E. Zacke, Peace River. Leonard Blakley, who just returned from the oil fields at Singapore spent the weekend at the house guest of Mr. Mrs. Arthur McGinns, while visiting friends and relatives in the area and attending the wedding of his cousin Linda Van Natter and Richard Karlson. At the regular meeting of the New Horizon Group draws were made for the pair of pillows, filled with goose down and donated by Mrs. Vera Santa and won by Mrs. Cecil Harrop. The Christmas cake donated, made and beautifully dec orated by Mrs. Gordon Forbes and won by Mrs. Tom Seerey. The members of the group would like to say ‘‘Thank you” to all who supported these projects. Mesdames Sarah Arlcox, Mabel Eggle, T.A. (Jim) McFaddin and Carrie But ler, a Bridge playing four some travelled to Grande Prairie last week and came back with the Del Harborne Trophy. The ladies enjoyed super hospitality while in the city. Harry Hansen Bud Faulkner attended the an nual sportsman’s supper in Dawson Creek, B.C. The enjoyable event was spon sored by the Dawson Creek Elks Lodge. Congratulations are ex tended to Mr. Mrs. R. Karlson (nee Linda Van Natter) on their recent mar riage which took place on Nov. 25, and to Mr. Mrs. Jack Streeter (nee Debra Lloyd) whose marriage took place on Dec. 6. Both couples will reside in Grim shaw. Mr. Mrs. E.L. Van Natter, daughter Donna and two grand daughters left recently for Yellowknife N.W.T. Donna and daughters returning to her home after attending her sister's wedding and Mr. Mrs. Van Natter planning to make their home at the Northern point for the next few years. We are pleased to learn that Mrs. P.M. McKay who suffered a broken hip when she fell on the icy street is back in Peace River hospital after spend ing some time in the Royal Alexandra hospital in Ed monton. Leo Condrotte who re cently underwent surgery in the University Hospital is making rapid recovery and should be home for the Yuletide season. Miss Marion Condrotte, has gone to Australia for a six month period. Happy travelling Marion.
