Gerhardi Vorland, a missionary in Japan.Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church at Rake on Tuesday afternoon, December 8 at 2:30. The Rev. Homer Larson of Cedar Falls conducted the services with Rev. M. W.Tolo also taking part in. the service. Mrs. Harvey Asmus was* organist and a male quartette composed of Orville Erdahl of Austin, Earnie Halvorson, and Victor and Glen Larson sang “What A Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Jesus, Lover Of My Soul.” Pallbearers were Richard Espeland, John A. Larson, Justin Herem, Thomas Reisetter, David Vorland, a nd Richard: Thompson. Interment was in the West Cemetery at Rake.
