By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS The American Basketball League is hailing a new scoring record-holder — Bill Bridges of Kansas City. The Steerstar set a one game mark Sunday, pouring in 55 points as Kansas City whipped the Oak land Oaks 125-103. Connecting on 21 of 33 field goal tries—eight in a row at one stretch—and adding 13 of 19 free throws, the former Kansas ace eclipsed the previous ABL high of 54 set by Pittsburgh’s Connie Hawkins last season. The triumph enabled the Steers to stay just one game back of Long Beach's front-running Chiefs who nipped Pittsburgh 109-107 in Sunday's only other ABL game.
