I e was ordered to appear beforefayor Schaap on Monday morn-ag, and he was given a light| STATE MEETING OF KLU KLUX KLAN AT SHELDONThe first state meeting of the Knights of the Klu Klux Klan was held at Sheldon on Saturday June 2ist. From all reports Sheldon never entertained a larger crowd than appearedI there in ”ine of $5.00 and costs. If ou do not care to add some loney to the treasury of the8:30 a Klan parade was staged, and it was estimated that at least 1600 men and women were in the parade. The music was J furnished by the O’Brien County jKlan Band, and the Drum Corps from Des Moines. After the parade the organization held their naturalization of members into the Klan, which was followed by a beautiful display of fire works which was conducted by the Four Horsemen Company of Des Moines. The program was carried out at the fairgrounds, and many concessions served refreshments to all.auuutwn — 'watch your step”— andeep to the right. This also in-ludes the parking of cars, and le illegal turning of cars in the mter of the street.Twelve carloads of hogs were lipped out of Boyden last Sat-rday for Chicago.
