Carl Douglas, of Cincinnati, was a caller here Saturday. Post-card albums from 10 cents to $1.50, at C. N. Peters’. Russel L. Pate, of Dillsboro, was hers one evening last week. J. M. Spencer transacted business at Indianapolis recently. Mrs. Fleet Transfer, of Cold Springs, was a caller here Monday. Latest shaving stand, cup, mirror and brush combined at Peters’. Grandma Dever has returned after a two weeks’ stay at Nebraska. C. N. Hunter and wife of Versailles are the guests of C. N. Peters. The Riprey Journal would be quite an appropriate Christmas gift. Douglas O’Brien, Jacob Murdock and Jesse McClure, of Holton, were callers Saturday. Loren Pendry and lady friend spent Sunday with Leo Dunn and wife at Pierceville, J. A. Connelley and family spent Sun day with Will Eater and family, of Pleasant Hill. A bair receiver or powder jar is al ways a welcome gift. C.N. Peters’ has a fine selection, Teachers’ institute was held here Sat urday. Choice candy, at Peters’, in bulk and fancy boxes, Garfield Cottingham spent Sunday at Pierceville. Manuel Bruce, of Sparta, was a caller here Saturday. Mrs. John Duncan was a caller in Osgood Friday, J. R. Fallis transacted business in Aurora Thursday, Mrs. Mary Burton has returned home from Manchester. T. W. Laws transacted business at Versailles Monday. Charles Kohlmeyer, of Cincinnati, is visiting home folks. George Tyrrell, of Versailles, was a caller here Tuesday. Kate Adams, of Belview, Ky., visited her sister part of last week. Dr. George LaMonte Cole will pre sent the next number of the lecture course, date Dec. 23. Moltie Horton has returned home after an extensive visit at Colorado. While en route to Elrod she visited J. C. Fleming and wife.
