cently.Mrs. Esther M. Darker (lied at her late residence here at 5:20 a. m., Dec. 5th, of typhoid-pneumonia. She was born at Syracuse, New York, on the eighth of April, 1814, came to Illinois when she was 21 years old and lived since in this immediate vicinity. She was the mother of ten children, five of whom are now living, viz. three in this place, one in Iowa, and one in Washington, Ter. She has for many years been an active and consis-tant member of the M. E. church, ller departure is deeply lamented by her family and neighbors. After an active and useful life she has gone to her reward. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church last Sabbath, conducted by Rev. Griswould. The sorrowing ones have the heartfelt sympathy ot the entire
