John E. LockeEPPING — John E. Locke, 65, of Epping, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family.He was born June 20, 1940, in Rochester, the son of the late Stanley and Flora (Griffin)Locke and attended schools in Exeter. After high school he served with the United States Coast Guard for two years. He worked for Owens Illinois in Newburyport for 32 years, where he was the chief mechanic.Mr. Locke enjoyed gardening and landscaping and was a bird enthusiast, the proud owner of two cockatiels.In addition to his wife,Brenda J. (Ferris) Locke, he is survived by two daughters,Holly Gagne and her companion, Pete Sorrel, of Newton and Diane Locke of Amesbury, Mass.; three sons, John E. Jr. and wife, Penny, of Amesbury, Robert A. and wife, Pam, of Raymond, and Kevin of Ames-wbury; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, William of Oregon; Wayne of Exeter, and Norman Thiebeau of Lewiston, Maine; three sisters, Patty Hill of Epping, Nancy Dow of Hampton, and Jeannie Gotimer of Brunswick, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec.9, at Elliott, Woodworth Rogers Family Funeral Flome, 35Green St., Newburyport, Mass., followed by interment in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport.Syphers Monument Co.Memorials • MarkersPlaques Restoration • Full ServiceLARGE INSIDE DISPLAYCall for Appt.3 Post Office Sq • Hampton, N.H.(603)926-0033
