Mrs. Peter Soens, 69, 6752 22nd Ave., was pronounced dead upon arrival at St. Catherine’s hospital Thursday evening following a long illness. She was born Concetta Gaudio in the Province of Calabria, Italy, Dec. 8, 1880, and came to Kenosha in 1907. In 1899, she married Emmanuel Biscardi in Italy. He preceded her in death in 1930. On Oct. 11, 1937, she married Peter Soens in Keno sha. She was a member of the Holy Rosary church and the ladies auxil iary of the Italian-American so ciety. Besides her husband, she is sur vived by four sons, Frank, Rock ford, Ill. Louis, LaCrosse, Wis.; James, Racine, and Chester, Ke nosha; six daughters, Mrs. James DeRose, Rochester, N. Y.; Mrs. Jack Iannello, Racine; Mrs. Frank Tenuta, Mrs. John Ruffalo, Mrs. Joseph Rizzo, and Mrs. Jennie Rus so, all of Kenosha; four stepsons, Joseph, Russell, Ill, Robert, Ke nosha, Elmer, Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Eugene, Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, James Gaudio, Kalamazoo, Mich. and Frank Gaudio, Almonte, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Michael Can nady, Elizabeth, N. J.; 20 grand children and two great-grandchil dren.
