CAR ACCIDENT NEAR BASCOSATURDAY NIGHTi 'V i | .1r —r %Four persons were injured in the collision of two automobiles on the gravel road two miles east of Basco | Saturday night. Two of them, Minor l French and Jess (Bud) Bavery, were i taken to St. Joseph hospital at Keo-■ kuk. V*J French and Bavery were passengers in a car driven by Charles , Gavilett. Gavilett and the fourth occupant of his car, Homer Fleming, also were injured.Lee Wilhite, driver of the other car, and two women passengers were , unhurt. Wilhite’s car was not damaged.At the Keokuk hospital it was reported French had a fractured arm and painful cuts over the nose. Bavery had a broken left leg,^a cut over the nose and bruises.Gavilett suffered bruises and cuts about the head annd Fleming’s nose was broken.The accident was reported to have been a sidesiwpe, with Gavilett’s car overturning and being considerably damaged.
