From Staff Reports The United Way of Aiken County marked the completion of renova tions to its office in the Chesser Building during an open house held Dec. ° Board members, agency repre sentatives and loaned executives were invited to tour the expanded facilities located at 118 Park Ave. SW, Suite 700. The agency relo cated from the Palmetto Building in 1989 to the present location. A building committee, under the leadership of Willar Hightower of Westinghouse Savannah River Company, visited more than 35 lo cations in the Aiken area in search of a facility that could accommo date the 70-member board, cam paign volunteers, meetings, and staff of four. The committee rec ommended that the United Way continue its lease in the Chesser building in light of the uncertain economy and acquire additional space from the adjacent suite. During the board meeting that fol lowed the open house, the building committee was applauded for its efforts. Committee members were Re becca Brewer, McDonald Law, Clifton Key and Wade Bodie.
