OBITUARYWALNUT - Funeral ser-vices for Nonis G. Pilling. 71, Walnut, will be Monday at 10:30 a m. at the Berth usen-Knutson Funeral Home with the Rev Donald Johnson of the Macedonia Methodist Church officiating.Pilling died Friday at an Atlantic hospital after a sudden illness.A Macedonia area native. Pilling had lived in Walnut for the JasL JJ7. yfiiCSi. .ft* worked as a plant superin-N orristendent for the Walnut Telephone Co. He had been a volunteer fireman since 1940. holding the fire chief's post for 27 years In 1976 Pilling was presented with a Good Neighbor Award by Ark-Sar Ben of Omaha Pilling was affiliated with the Pioneer Telephone Association, the Iowa Independent Telephone Association and the Walnut Presbyterian Church.Survivors.include his widow, Grace; two sons, Ned of BelleG. PillingPlaine. Minn., and Gary of Orange City; one sister. Mrs Lorraine Henry of Carson; five brothers, Vernon Pilling of Omaha and Joe. Emerson. Harvey and John Pilling, all of Macedonia, and two granddaughters. iFollowing the Monday service at the funeral home, a second service will be held at 2 pm at the Macedonia Methodist Church - Interment will be . jn the Macedonia Cemeterv
