Thu People's National Bank. This l*ank was organised November iV.h with a capital of $100,000, paid in, by electing the following named persons as directors: S. Montgomery, A. C. Bell, C. II. Woot-ten, II. Clay Bagiey, t$. II. Ilawkins, O. \\\ Glover, K. T. Byrd, G. M. Bync, and F. M. Coker. Col. S. H. Hawkins was elected President, the election of cashier and book-keeper was deferred. The reputation of the , president elected for banking knowledge and general financial success, is enough to ensure patronage and success. In addition it is bucket! by one of the best directorates that could have been selected in Georgia, with such a cabinet of advisers*, and such a president, it would appear sujer-tluous to prophesy or wish the institution success. The only contingency which can effect a different, result will lie a general prostration in trade and agriculture, which is devoutly to Ik? deprecated.
