Old Photo AlbumFred Sponsler was a direct descendant of Michael Barndollar, the founder of Everett, and Nov. 29, would have been his 100th birthday. On the left is Fred with his daughter, Barbara, in 1943, shortly after he took over his father’s store in Everett. He was married to Helen Foor, and they had two children, Barbara and Fred Jr.; two grandchildren, Tim and Carolyn; four great-grandsons: Jeremy, Bradley, Sammy and Wesley, and Fred lived long enough to see Noah, his first great-great-grandson. He continued to work in the store until he was 90 years old and passed away April 24, 2007. The picture on the right is Fred in 1994 when he was Everett’s Citizen of the Year. The photos were submitted by his daughter, Barbara Miller.
