The first meeting for the 1977-78 season of the Plumas Power Figure Skating Club was held Tuesday, Nov ember 29 at the P.M.C. Cc. Twelve ladies were present. Ida Sollner is the representative at the recreational meetings. A motion was made to hire Barbara Holmes as the professional teacher this winter. Membership fees will be: Girls with up to 9 badges, $4.00,Senior girls with over 10 badges $5.00 plus $2.00 plus $3.00 for C.F.S.A. Registration will be open until Dec ember 10. Phone your child's name to Lorr aine Brown at 386-2409 or Marlene Fischer at 76 = 2648. The phone committee is Lorraine Brown, Norma Rainkie, Debbie Fischer, Ida Sollner, Helen Fehr and Margaret Bylund. Ice times will remain the same as last year: Wednesday, 4~7, Saturday, 9:30 - 12, Sunday, 12 -1 p.m We will have a bingo on January 18. A tea and bake sale will be held February 11 and the Ice Revue is planned for February 4. Mr. Mrs. Reinhold Single spent the week end with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. Mrs. E. Single in Bran don, Man. We hear that Mr. Mrs. Reuben Snell are all settled in Gladstone having had their fam home moved to one of the lots where the Gladstone skating rink used to stand. Art and Richard Mauthe and Wilbert Coutts left last Sunday for the Thompson area to do some moose hunting. They were joined there by Earl Belton and a friend. Mr. Mrs. Bob Watts accompanied by Mrs. Kay Watts motored to Bran don on Thursday to vis it their son Ernie who is now attending ARM Industries. Miss Rhoda Fischer of Portage la Prairie spent the weekend at the home of her parents Mr. Mrs. Scott Fis cher, Mr. Mrs. Alfred Macks motored to Strathclair, Man. on Tuesday to visit with relatives. Bryan Belton accompan ied by Scott and Randy Fischer left Sunday, November 27 to do some moose hunting at Wanless, Man. Mr. Arthur Brown re turned to Winnipeg on November 27 after spending a few days deer hunting. While here he was a guest at the S. Fischer home
