Man Dies, LocalBoy Hurt in CrashA 15-year-old Oak Forest youth remained confined this week to Palos Community hospital in Palos Heights with injuries he suffered November 24 in a two - car accident at Ridgeland avenue and 143rd street in Orland township.Chester Krol of 5425 Fern was being treated in the intensive care unit at Palos Community.Krol was injured when an auto in which he was riding, driven by Tim Melbourn, 16, of 15000 Park in Oak Forest, collided with a car driven by Glenn Stacy, 53, of Peotone.Stacy died in Palos Community hospital a short time after the crash. Melbourn had been confined to St. Francis hospital in Blue Island for nine days after the accident. He was released Sunday, from the hospital.Cook county sheriff's police said Melbourn was heading east on 143rd street and Stacy’s car, was northbound on Ridgeland when the collision occurred.
