OLD RESIDENT Of THIS COUNTY DIES IN COLORADOMrs. Harriet A* Mercer died at her home at Akron, Col., Nov. 16, 1911, ofvdropsy* She was a resident of Woodbury county for 22 years, removing to Colorado in 1907,Harriet A. Herrick was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. A- Herrick and Wa* bom in. Patriot, Ind., Aug. S„ 1843, She was united in marriage to Martin Mercer, Aug_ 20, 1862, at Falrbtiry, HI. Eight children were bom to this union, a daughter and three sons having preceeded the mother to the Heavenly Sphere. A husband, a sou, R- L, Merc or ofAkron, Colo., and three daughters, Mrs. Anna Deeds, Mrs. louo Hatfield of CorrectiODVille, la., and Mrs. Isora Hill of Pierre, S. D., mourn the loss of loving wife and mother.The funeral service was conducted from t ho Presbyterian church of Akron, Col., of which she was a member. Rev. Waldron spoke very consoling from the 36th chapter, 1-6 verses of St. Mark. The mterrznent was in the Akron cemetery Nov. 18.
