OLD AESIDENT OIF THIS COUNTY DIES IN COLORADOMrs. Harriet A* Mercer died at tier home at Akron, Col., Nov. 16, 19.11, ofvdropsy. She was a resident of Woodbury county for 22 years, removing to Colorado In 1907.Harriet A. Herrick was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. A. Herrick and Was bom in Patriot, Ind., Aug. S, 1843. She was united in marriage to Martin Mercer, Aug_ 20, 1862, at Flrbtiry, HI. Eight children were bom to this union, a daughter and three sons having preceeded the mother to the Heavenly Sphere. A freehand, a son, R- L, Mercer of Akron, Colo., and three daughters, Mrs. Anna Deeds, Mrs. Tone Hatfield of CorrectlODVille, la., and Mrs. Isora Hill of Pierre, S. D., mourn, the loss of loving wife and mother.The funeral service was conducted from t ho Presbyterian church of Akron, Col., of which she was a member. Rev, Waldron spoke very cdil-soling from the 35th chapter, 1-6 verses of St, Mark. The mterrznent was in the Akron cemetery Nov. 18.
