VANISHED MOTORIST.WEALTHY CANADIAN’S STRANGE t DISAPPEARANCE. , tThe mysterious dlsappeaarnce of Mr c Dugald Ross, a Canadian, who, a short t time since, was brought prominently a before the notice of the public by his * reported purchase for L2000 of a motor- 6 car which was driven at a speed of 113 miles an hour on the Brooklands track, was a general topic of conversation in London yesterday.On Tuesday of last week it appears Mr Ross left the Berkeley Hotel, Piccadilly. where he had been staying for 0 the previous fortnight, and drove in f a -lotor-car, hired from a Streatham a gentleman, to Thread needle street. I fere P he alighted, asking the chauffeur anl a friend who was with him to wait until he returned, stating that he was going to transact some business with reference to a cheque for L20.000 at a neighboring bank.He then mingled wifh the crowd, and has not since been seen In London. The next night Mr Ross arrived at Folkestone, but left his hotel the next day. This was the last that was seen or heard of him. All Inquiries in London have failed to elucidate the mystery of his strange disappearance. |Shortly after noon on the Tuesday a a telegram was received at the Berkeley s Hotel for Mr Ross.
