R. ALEXANDER TUCKER, of Broad Cove, St. John’s West, was united in wedlock to Miss Louisa Squires, third daughter of Mr. Alfred Squires. ‘The Rev. W. R. Smith per formed the ceremony, ‘the happy cou ple and friends drove to the church, and, after the ceremony, drove to their future home on the Tolt road, where everything in the shape of edibles and drinkables was provided in a manner that none but outport people of the old school know how to do. After satisfying the inner man, toasts were proposed, and then the services of the fiddler was brought into requisition, and the merry dance was kept up till an early hour. Ah! many are the happy hours we spent at outport weddings. We wish the happy couple a pleasant and prosperous voyage through life.—Com.
