time of bis kiiliog Mr. Philbeck.Burned to Deatii.—Tbe saddest occurrence that we have been called upou to relate, occurred last Monday at this place. A daughter of Mr Wesley Bradshaw, about 14 years of age, was left in charge of the house and to take care of a young baby and other small children, and while she was stauding io front of the fire her dress caught fire. She commenced runuing in the house first, aud then out in the yard. A britk wind was up, which fanned tbe flames and before it was discovered and help came, her clothes were all io a flame and her body terribly burned, so much so that tbe died in a few hours after the misfortune occurred. Mr Monardy Deal and Durant Woodward were considerably burned while removing her clothes from her body. This should be another warning to parents not to leave children alone io tbe house during cold weather, and they should also be cautious themselves, for nothing is more exciting than fire at large, and nothing 16 sadder than to see or hear of a person being burned to death.—Morqanton Star.Rev.
