One’ ‘of. Shipping ‘City’s Fair est and Nicest Daughters WEDDING A SIMPLE AFFAIR Attended by. Half a Score of Rela tives Only One of the simplest yet most, not able weddings which has occurred in the Shipping City for many years took a at Grace Episcopal church huraday morning at ten o’clock. Simple because the bride so desired, potable because the groom, Edward W. Hyde, is the mayor of the city and president of Bath’s leading industrial establishments, and the bride, Miss Alice Morse, a daughter of one of our eee and most respected Bath fami l65. The decorations at the church were extremely simple, consisting of but a few palms and cut flowers A little before ten o’clock Mrs. T.W. Hyde, Misses Eleanor and Madeline Hyde, Mr. and Mrs. John 8. Hyde,Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo. A. Morse and Dr.and Mrs John H. Morse of Concord ar rived and took their seats in the choir stalls. At ten o’clock Mayor Hyde and Miss Morse entered from the robing room, unattended, and walked to the altar. Here Rev. Walter C. Stewart, rector of the church, was in waiting and performed the marriage cere mony, after which the mayor and his bride marched down the aisle to the music of Mendelssohn’s wedding march played by Arthur 8. Hyde, brother of the groom, who is organist at the Emmanuel church in Boston. At the door carriages were in wait ing and Mr and Mrs Hyde were driven at once to the train and left for Bos ton and New York for a few days’ trip as the groom’s presence is required here next week by business matters. In January Mr and Mia Hyde will en joy their real honeymoon by going to Florida and the West Indies for a month or more The bride was married in a very stylish and becoming traveling cos tume of blue broadcloth. The groom is serving his first term as mayor of the city, is president of the Bath Iron Works, president of the First National Bank, vice president of the Bath Trust Co., as director in the Marine National Bank and the head of several other Bath institutions. He is a son of the late Gen. Thos. W. Hyde and one of our most generous and energetic young business men. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Alonzo A. Morse, a graduate of the Bath High school and one of our fairest and most respected Bath girls.
