COLUMBIA (AP)—Former Democratic gubernatorial can didate Charles Pug Ravenel became a director of the con sume reoriented organization Public Voice Wednesday. The organization's executive director, William G. Harden, said, “His ideals are the ideals of Public Voice, The appointment to the 15 member board leaves three positions vacant, and Harden said they would be filled by persons who come forth or who have already shown active dedication to its causes. Public Voice has opposed milk-price * fixing power of the state Barry Commission and higher South Carolina Electric and Dias Corates, among other things. Board members include former congressional candidate Cole Blease Graham of Columbia and newly elected state Rep. Theo Mitchell of Greenville. Harden had announced last week that Public Voice was in financial trouble. He said unless $10,000 is raised by mid- December, it was likely to become an all volunteer organ ization. Tie said hie is not receiving his salary and that without the funds public Voice’s office would be vacated.
