Louis Wade received an eye in jury Wednesday morning while working with a section crew on the Abilene Southern railroad near Winters. His eye was damaged by a tiny piece of flying steel. Wade was taken to the Winters Municipal Hospital where the eye was bandaged and then he was transferred to Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene. Attendants at the hospital in Abi lene said Wednesday night that Wade was resting well but the ex tent of the eye injury was not known. He had not undergone eye surgery.
