Golden Jubilee at St. Joseph'sMr. and Mrs. Anton BrownRHINELAND — The children’s cherished day arrived Oct. 21, when they saw their parents, Mr. md Mrs. Anton Brown, renew their marriage vows at the same altar in St. Joseph’s Church where they first vowed faithfulness to each other until death do them part.Brothers and sisters, sons and daughters gathered from three states to participate in the joy that fifty years of self-sacrificing married life brought to the jubilarians, Anton and Anna Brown.The altar decked with beautiful golden chrysanthemums, the altar boys, Norbert, Clarence, and Stanley Brown, awaiting their grandparents, preceeded by their grandchildren, Charles Stengel and Rose Mary Brown, as flower bearers, the jubilarians gracefully walked into the sanctuary, and knelt to recite the liturgical prayers of Holy Mother Church in thanksgiving to God Whose blessings they received during their married life. Eleven children God gave to their union. All except Martha, who preceeded in death, were present with thirty-five children.Rev. Fabian Diersing., O.S.B.,.celebrated the High Mass of thanksgiving.Breakfast was served at the home and at five p.m. the jubilarians were received in the parish hall by relatives and each enjoyed ] the dinner serbed after the reception.“Unto MANY MORE YEARS.” Fabian Diersing, O.S.B.
