By LEROY NIGRA Co-eds chase the men. Tonight 250 College of Mines co-eds turn the tables on the men at their Co-ed Dance. They will escort the men and pay for entertainment. A mass wedding will be held at the dance in Holliday Hall. Lead ing the group will be Lin Lathem, co-ed prince, followed by the “men-chasing co-eds” and their dates. The Co-ed Dance is an annual affair. Leap-year customs are ob served, and the lights will be ro mantically dim, the music excep tionally soft. The co-eds will not be outdone. “The men have no choice in the matter,” Mildred Norman, presi dent of the Co-ed Assn., said. “They are asked by the girls, escorted, entertained. The tables are reversed for one night when the woman pays for the fun.” It teaches them to be financially discreet on regular dates, campus men observe. They promised to get even to an expensive tune. The Spiritual Life Committee of Federated Church Women met yes terday at the Y. W. G. A. to plan for a meeting of the federation on Jan. 29. Mrs. William Wood is chair man of the committee, and Mrs. A. H. Schnake is vice chairman. Other members of the committee are Mmes, Fred Roberts, J. W. Henning er, J. E. Shofner, H. G. Stacey, C.C. Marshall. Mrs. I. J. Ayers, president of the F. C. W. and Mmes. A. B. Cipher and E. A. Mitchell, also were pres ent. Mrs. Roberts led the devotional and talked on the observance of Christmas. For the meeting of Jan. 29, Mrs. Wood will plan the program and preside, and Mrs. Schnake will di rect the music.
