He held the office of Justice of the Peace at Melrose several years before being elected mayor. He is survived by his wife, Treasa- Carney.Funeral services were held Thu *s-ictay lmiorning at 0 o’clock in St. Patrick’s Church. Rev. W. J. Me-Co mick celebrated the Requiem high Mass. The members of the aity alderman served as pallbrar-ers. The Knights of Columbus, of which he was a member marched in t»he funeral procession. Many beautiful ft: wens were in evidence, showing the high esteem in which he was held by. fellow townsimen. •Burial was made in the Georgetown cemetery.
